my question is what rtx 2070 super graphics cards do pc specialists use? i tried to find out and on forum some people say they got the mini version but this was some time ago. i dont want the mini version, is there a way to make sure i get the same thing that is advertised on their website and not the mini one?

This is a really poor and unoptimised build you have here, is it ordered but not built yet? If so, I would recommend cancelling this build and let us help you sort out a good build that will be worth the money here :)

yes its been ordered but it hasnt been approved yet. i only want the gpu but with current prices cant afford it all in one go so i got the crappiest system possible with a decent gpu on finance to take out the gpu and put in my current system

You’re most likely to get a Zotac or a a Palit, occasionally a Gigabyte or Gainward.

There’s a high chance that it’ll be the Zotac Mini, most of the 2070 Super cards used in PCS builds last year were that model. I don’t understand what you mean when you say ‘to make sure I get the same thing advertised on their website’, what are you referring to there?

when i looked on the pcs website it was the FE that was advertised
i just read that the mini cards are slightly worse than the FEs and full sized
i for sure dont want a 2070 that runs hotter than other 2070s if you know what i mean.
i dont know it might not matter than much and i dont want the best of the bunch but at the same time i definitely dont want the worst

You definitely wouldn’t get a Founder’s Edition card, they only make them at the beginning of a GPU’s release and the 2070 Super is almost two years old.

The Zotac Minis are perfectly well performing cards and I can’t remember the last time I saw a complaint about one on here.

You’re ordering a 2070 Super here and that’s exactly what you’ll get, you just don’t get to choose the brand. If you want a particular model of GPU you’ll have to purchase elsewhere.

PCS do not supply the FE cards, in fact it specifically shows that on the configurator

You would get the exact/model that they have in stock on the day of your build (this can change on a daily basis), if you want a specific model you would have to order it yourself, PCS will not supply specific models unless its one of the named branded cards on the configurator (not available for all models)

yea i get why it might look weird but for me im definitely gonna use this gpu for at least 3/4 years.
ive been fine with the gtx 1050 2GB from 2017 till now

and with that all i need to do is put that old gtx 1050 into this build and i have 2 computers

With the limited scope for upgrading and swapping out the GPU, you could save a bit more on reducing the PSU.
Did you buy your existing PC from PCS? You could go down the upgrade route on the original order instead.

It must be said if the current PC can take it these are the options currently available on the upgrade section (since A L-PC mentioned it)

So the 2070 Super is available for order right now as an upgrade (obviously if the OP hasn't already got a PCS system this option is not available as they only sell single items as upgrades)
And this would be next-day delivery (longer for delivery if not in the UK mainland)

yes ive bought a computer from pcs before. its already been upgraded a fair bit apart from the gpu. the specs are these:

Ryzen5 3600, gtx1050(2gb), corsair Veng.3200mhz 16gb ram, asus rog b450-f mobo, vs650 psu,6ll120 fans, corsair h100xt aio, 970 evo m.2, extra ssd for games, extra 2 hdds for whatever.

so i didnt upgrade it from pcs, i found these components cheaper elsewhere. i cant afford gpu in one swoop and pcs dont do finance on parts therefore i got a system with a psu and a gpu that i can put into my current computer then reuse the old gpu and psu for this build that im buying now

Can you post the full specs from the order page?

Those specs you’ve quoted are far better than the ones you’re ordering? This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me?

I think he wants to upgrade the GPU and PSU on his current system but cannot afford to pay for it in a lump sum through the upgrade process. The solution he has come up with seems to be to order the cheapest system possible with the card and PSU he wants and then pay for it over 12 months through finance and swap them both over with his existing build, ending up with 2 pc's.

Yep, I got that but it still makes no sense to me, why not just buy a GPU from a shop and pay by installations?

Maybe he can't. Maybe the current pricing mark up plus APR for instalments is actually more expensive than his method with 12 months interest free credit. Plus he gets an additional very low spec PC he could recoup some of his money on

But it's not, that's an irrelevant thing to say not based on current prices. Takes two seconds to find out current prices.

It's not for us to guess anyway, the OP can speak for himself.
