My laptop is acting up again. Did a clean install of win10. let it install all drivers. Lastly installed ControlCenter 3.1.35.0. My laptop cpu runs at 0.40ghz. And I am missing features in the control center.

Can you guys please help me? Ever since I got this laptop it has been a really bad experience. Send it back 3 times. Was told the problems were fixed. But I keep running into issues like this. I think I am just gonna return it and buy a laptop thats more relaiable.

The reason I did a clean instal of win10. was because I kept getting bsod after updating to win11. But even after reverting with a clean install. I get the BSOD.

How did you install windows? What method? How did you configure drivers?

Can you post a screenshot of your Windows update page and device manager?

Where are you sourcing control center from?

Installed windows11 through windows 10. Then I got the BSOD stuff. then I went back to win10 using a media creation tool from the MS website. not only did I still have the BSOD. but control center was acting up and my cpu runs at 0.40ghz regardless of mode.

Control center is from my download page under win10.
Yes installed all my drivers and there are no problems showing in the Device Manager.

Windows I have tried to reinstall windows twice once with 11 and when that gave me trouble I went back to 10.
I used the correct installers. Let windows update fully and then manually installed the drivers windows could not find. (Which was only the Radeon graphics)

I have decided to refund the laptop.
I cannot imagine this happening down the road when my warranty is expired.

I have already sent this laptop back 3 times for a: Non-functional lightbar, screen clouding, broken CPU clock speed. The latter does not seem to be fixed. Purchased this laptop in august. have been struggling with this since. Lots of inconveniences, not being able to work from home, getting behind schedule for my work. Never really had the opportunity to really enjoy the specs. And now it is already outdated.

I don't think there's anything wrong here, just sounds like windows isn't configured.

The reason it was BSODding in Windows 11 is because you'd need an updated Control Center which you'd have to ask PCS about.

I don't think there's any issue here, and you're well outside the return windows as far as I'm aware.

Well yes and no sure it has been a while but most of that time has been waiting for RMA's having to wait a month or 2 to get it back.

I am pretty sure that TongFang control canter is currently not compatible with Windows 11 which would explain the problem. Cant remember where I read that though.

I did update it to the win11 version which is 3.1.39.0 after going to win11. And that is when the problems started happening.
But now I cannot get it to work in win10 with version 3.1.35.0. And the painful part is without control center my cpu runs at 0.40ghz.
So setting up a fresh instal takes ages. only to have it not work again.

Where did you get that install from and what makes you think it is Win 11 compatible? Did you get it from PCS?

I let windows update, and then I looked in device manager what was missing. and then I downloaded that from the pcs download page
That's not how you configure windows, from the BSOD code and what you're describing there's nothing wrong here, you just haven't configured windows correctly.

There might be nothing wrong here but I don't want to deal with a user experience this bad. Because I cannot get it to work.
I already tried 2 times.

It's not PCS issue that you're not familiar with Windows, you need to know how to manage and configure windows to run a custom pc or laptop.

I don't think you'll be eligible for a return.

Any suggestions then? Teach how to get my clockspeeds back to normal so I can configure windows more quickly and correct. Because this all happened after updating and I don't know how to fix it. I already send the laptop back for it once and they told me it was fixed but the problem came back. So if they cannot fix it How am I supposed to fix it?

The cpu should work fine even with ControlCenter not installed right?

You need to reinstall Windows 10 from a USB. When you do this you need to make sure you delete all partitions from the drive you are installing too so that it is a clean install.

Then you need to run Windows update continuously until all updates are installed. Including optional updates.

At this stage I would suggest pausing and taking a screen shot of your device manager, expanded so we can see any drivers that have been missed and also a screen shot of your Windows Update screen.

Once that is confirmed all good we can advise on any further drivers that need to be installed and then finally install the correct version of Control Center.

Thank you I will try now with windows 10. And keep you guys updated.

Ok new fresh instal of windows.
1644355035213.png

Letting windows update
1644355053169.png

After that was done it is still updating stuck at 20%
1644355087022.png

In device manager it only gives me an error for these 2 drivers
1644355148738.png

cpu is still slow even after letting it update for a while.
This is what is bothering me the most. and they told me they fixed it after I send it back for RMA. But the problem is still there.
Before I upgraded to Windows 11 it was not like this. I think this might even be an issue in the bois no? Doesn't the bios control

Based on the device manager image, I think I need to install the WLAN driver and AMD Radeon Driver.
which is exactly what I did the previous time. Can someone correct me before I am going to have the same problem?
