I joined Steam yesterday! :) Havent bought anything yet...

Im about to buy my First Few Games from Steam,

Yesterday Skyrim was at 33% off, and now today Ive just seen Skyrim In a "Flash Deal" at 50% off! Is a Flash Deal the lowest it ever goes...?

If so, should i quickly buy it now while i can because its at £17.37 right now and seems a good deal to me and I want this game.....

To be honest, all this Steam account, codes, 3rd party sites etc etc, its all very new to me and just confusing me and i dont really know what im doing. :D

I just made my 1st ever purchase from Steam and i have bought the Mass Effect Collection, 1+2, at 75% off.

1 thing that im confused about is knowing where they are actually being downloaded and installed to. #I want them on my caviar Black HD, not my SSD. :whistling:

If you go to settings you can see the location of the steam library folders, if you installed Steam on your SSD it is likely that it is located there. There are ways of changing the location, just browse through the forum or use google :p
Edit: not sure if this works but you can check the link below:

There is an excellent sticky "how to split a steam install" by LFFPicard in the desktops technical support section, but read it all as he gives a link to a handy app that does the work for you in post 3.

I went to settings, steam library folders at the bottom.

It had D:/Steam, installed (2) used space (0Bytes) Available space (469.47)

Dunno if that means anything to you Keynes :D But does it mean they are both installing on my 500GB caviar Black...??? lol

@Keynes, I had a little read, it sounds easy to do, even for a beginner with computers like me :) lol Well i think they are going on my HD because i chose Steam to intall on that drive which is D. So As far as i know i think its installing them where i want them im guessing :D lol

Quick heads up for any Win 8 users. The current community choice offer of Dark Souls Prepare to Die edition isn't compatible with the OS. Just wasted £15 quid on it......:(

<Edit> Disregard that, I found the compability wizard and even though you have to manually browse inside your SteamApps folder to find the .exe, it does work....
