The Time Has Come

I’d be really interested how those keys feel, I’ve got cherry browns also and they’re noisy as hell.
Ditto. My K70 is excellent but the MX Brown's are far from silent. The noise they make isn't too intrusive though, unless I'm in a bad mood and hammering the keys - then my wife will complain!

It’s when I’m up in the night, I’m worried everyone else will be able to hear them.

Depends on the colour mate, the browns are "silent" which is hilarious. The blues are "tactile" I believe, the reds "short". This is off the top of my head I could be completely wrong on the colours and functions but you get the jist

All the Cherry MX switches though are very high quality, I honestly wouldn't use an alternative
This is mine

Ah you've got the low profile boyos, I hear they're good jobs but I haven't tried them myself. I'd honestly probably prefer a shorter key so I reckon they would suit me, forgot about these entirely

I hope I don’t get lambasted for opting for MX Silent over Cherry Red. There’s a line somewhere between satisfying click and mechanical cacophony that I’m not quite willing to cross yet.
I object to this statement and I am lambasting. If it doesn’t sound like there’s a herd of miniature horses galloping across the desk then quite frankly I’m not interested 😜

So after a bit of sleuthing, I’ve discovered that the M8FB1 notation visible on the RAM module means that it is single rank. Won’t cause any performance issues, only place it seems to bottleneck is at 1080p with a powerful GPU.

Tried hard to restrain myself from unboxing anything but then got paranoid about having dead pixels and missing the return window for Amazon. From my very rudimentary testing I couldn’t find any.
From a building standpoint I can definitely recommend this monitor. Assembly was easy, stand looks and feels solid and offers tilt, swivel and height adjustment. The monitor buttons don’t seem too bad, haven’t fiddled around with settings much though.

For an industry standard pixel test, use this:

Shows them up in one pass if there are any.

Well you can probably guess what mouse I'm going to recommend I'm pretty sure I've suggested it at least 20 times but the Razer Deathadder really is the perfect mouse in opinion.

I've used a couple difference mice over the years but nothing has ever taken the Deathadders place for good reason. It's got a braided cord but I got a mouse bungee years ago which I highly recommend doing for wired mice, it basically makes a wired mouse feel like a wireless mouse as there is to friction from the cable rubbing on the end of the table or anything like that
I go through changes of trying out a new gaming mouse and I just keep coming back to the deathadder !

Big day, PC ordered, and Covid jabs booked in for July and September. HYPE!
