I have a company car which was an X5. Benefit in kind tax is so much now that I was paying £500 a month in tax. Working from home due to CoVid so x5 went at the end of the lease and not been replaced yet.
I also have a VW T5 shuttle. It’s been pimped though so chrome side bars, bonnet bra, massive black alloys, DVD player, sub woofer. It’s my weekend toy for hauling the kids and bikes and dogs around in.
I have also ordered a new company car but won’t get it for a few more months. I ordered a Skoda superb iV. As it’s a plug in it’s only £170 a month in BIK tax. A £40,000 Skoda!!!! In electric it is silent and it’s huge and so so comfortable. My wife is still getting over the thought of a Skoda. I’m nearly 6’7” though so I need big cars.

My brake discs have completely rusted over as haven't used the car for about 3 weeks now. It's just a surface corrosion which I'm sure will shed with a bit of braking, but I took it out for a tiny run the other day just to the local delivery office and the brakes were definitely compromised.
Just a word of warning, may be worth taking it easy initially until the brakes are back up to speed if there are others not using the car regularly.

Noticed a nasty sound when braking last time I went out, luckily was clear after a few miles. Am very lucky that my specialist still wants face to face clinics when possible so managed to get a decent drive during lockdown.
Interesting to see the difference in full charge during the cold, getting 20 miles less on a full charge.

Yep it definitely catches a few people out, that first ‘100 yds’.

another key thing is to treat things gently until oil is slowly up to temp, as cars sitting for a while tend to not react rapid changes in temperature / pressure.
admittedly once up to temp and no issues or odd sounds etc, then it’s sport mode, quite satisfying getting home big smile on face and 15mpg.

Mercedes Vito - It's a Van, Car, People Carrier all in one. I didn't like the thought of it when I first got it, but I've grown to really enjoy driving it.
The thing can shift too low or high gears and can surprise quite a few people off the lights.
Great for the kids, dogs and carrying a load of stuff around.

Thought I'd take advantage of the extra savings I've got after not having to spend on weekly accommodation near the office, or on fuel.
So picked up a low-mileage AUC 320D M-Sport Touring (with some M-Performance parts)...to replace a borked 180,000 mile e46 330D.

Yeah I have a VW T5 shuttle for the weekends. 2.5TDI but is quick in first and second.

I had a Sunny for about 6 months, great car! Reliable as anything until I blew up the engine in superb style.
hasten to add, it was old when I bought it, think I paid £80 for it.

it's the Toyota C-HR 2017 model 1.8 petrol/hybrid as i think hybrid is the way to go, especially self charging ones like this, as no need to find somewhere to plug in
