So it wont work if I buy of amazon? because I planned to buy 1 8GB one :(
It's a risk. it might work, it might not..... it might work but be sub-optimal. It's all unknown unfortunately.

If you consider what you know about PC building, what you know about the differences between the specifications of the individual components and the relationships between them all...... I think you are in the right place to get a well specified system.

It's going to be difficult to give you advice that you're going to understand fully, this is something you can accept or not unfortunately. We can attempt to go into detail on the why's etc, but whether it will make sense or not is anyones guess.

At the end of the day it's entirely your money though so if you want to follow your mates advice to save a few bob then there's not really a lot more we can do to help.

personally I'd recommend that you get 16GB now (2*8), because the chances are you're going to need it, so it will be cheaper doing it now than buying just 8 now and 16 off of Amazon later

Agree with the above. 8GB isn't really enough for modern day gaming unless you wanna go for the basic games. However, 16GB will give you enough for 99% of games. Seems like so much more sense to get 16 out the gate instead of 8, then realising it's not enough and getting 16. you're basically paying for 24GB of RAM

RAM timings are measures in nanoseconds. With two RAM sticks working in dual-channel mode the timings have to be exactly the same - because the memory controller is reading and writing to both sticks at the same time. The slightest deviation in timings between the chips will cause all sorts of weird errors.

As @Scott says, you might be lucky and it might work, but the odds are against you. RAM should always be purchased in matched pairs.

Ok, so firstly, that's not a well built computer, there are several bottlenecks and a few thermal related issues:

1/. The case isn't suitable at all, you'll face heat issues and likely stability issues as a result.

2/. The RAM is far too slow and will cause performance issues, aside from the fact 8Gb isn't really enough for gaming.

3/. You've got one very small SATA SSD which is extremely slow and not big enough anyway.

4/. The PSU isn't designed for gaming systems, and is the minimum spec for the GPU which would never be advised.

5/. You've got a 12 year old wifi card which no longer has driver support and won't be compatible with modern standards since about 2009.

So before we even talk about VR, you need to seriously consider what you've purchased.

If it were me, I'd get some advice and redesign it.
