Np but im not sure if its 100% open beta to public or if its just a bigger Closed beta since people with old beta keys are getting new ones from SE for "Open Beta", but i must say the game looks and plays amazing from the little i have played.

Open beta is definately coming Wednesday September 1st 2am GMT, all people previously in closed beta are garunteed a spot if you werent in closed beta gotta keep your ears to the ground and hope they start giving out more keys or make it fully open.
Open beta includes all 3 starter citys previously unseen aswell as Linkshell and Flist feature and i think i heard somewhere few new jobs to try.

>thanks Steve. like to change em every so often ;)

i had problems with the keyboard and mouse, movement was that bad i thought it was the pc that could not run it after all the hype about graphics lol, i then tried my ps2 pad and ran smooth as lol

UPDATE-

Massively-

Most Final Fantasy XIV fans were looking forward to the game's open beta tomorrow, but unfortunately they're going to have to wait a bit longer.

FFXIV's open beta application site went down for a period of time early this morning, and when it came back up, it included an announcement regarding open beta. A "confirmation of critical bugs" is all we've heard so far, but whatever the problem is, it's serious enough to warrant postponing the open beta testing.

There's not a new date yet, but the announcement says that "a new schedule will be released at a later date." No word on what this means for the September 30th launch date, if anything.

hey Steve, i have a usb adaptor bought from game years ago, plug and play no drivers needed, but you can pick them up all over and probably cheaper now, best to look on Ebay or Amazon ;)

so is it any good? we just have Zeplini's review and as it doesnt include star wars it was bound to be negative.

well its quite buggy, majority of the mobs cant be attacked combat log just keeps saying 'you cant attack that target' :/

i'll record a short video when i go back on the game tonight, pop it on youtube & link it here, not going to be any major video project just a quick bit of combat in the starting area or something :)

Reason it usually says that is because the mobs present are part of someones Leve quest and as such only the player on that quest can attack them, and you cant use xbox controllers via play and charge kit wire etc sadly ;( only alternative is bluetooth adaptar you can buy for them to work or buy a wired xbox controller.
