How long will it take

How much do they lasted to arrive, so? I'm afraid I'll have to wait nearly 2 months to buy the laptop I want:
[off-topic]I'm waiting the spanish keyboard of a P150em since the 13 (They are expected to be on mid Feb), then, when they receive it, I'll to order it and THEN is when my computer is going to be assembled, tested, etc. If some other part is missing, I'll have to wait again to arrive, and then... Too much 'then' = too much waiting time.
Also, my laptop is broken, so this is going to be like a torture to me (I have to play Pharaoh, Theme hospital (corsix) and those tipes of games 'cause the desktop one is too old to let me play anything better), checking everyday if the spanish keyboard is on the web because I don't want to miss a day. (They told me to check on the web, refused to e-mail me when they got the keyboard). [/off-topic]
So, aprox, how much did your orders lasted? Sorry for the extra and unnecessary info, but I had to share it with someone who understands my situation >_<
Also, I understand the situation (by the pcspecialist point of view), but is very stressfull, since I've been looking the right laptop and obtaining the budget since September (Gaming laptops is a very large and expensive world).

It's fine to let your frustration out on the late production and delievery, you can moan here but not miscall PCS :)

I'm experiencing delays due to volume of sales, I presume. Mine's still in pre-production on day 10. They could do with a "you are here" for queue position.

I wonder if it's because they had a laptop in CustomPC's laptop tests this month?

Hehe could be Fartlek (teehee), could be.

The "your place in the queue" has come up before. The issue PCS has is that the queue isn't static (well duh), but also in the sense that you can jump places if your stuff comes in and someone else's hasn't.

This creates a massive web of intrigue and bollocks that actually confuses the system even more, where your place in the queue essentially means diddly until you get to #1 :D

After moaning about the time it was taking for delivery, I thought it only fair that I do a quick review of the Inferno!

In a nutshell, well worth the wait!!

I was slightly worried about the Inferno getting hot and over heating as many have mentioned! At present I have not had this problem but then I have only really played Skyrim on Ultra settings so far. For your info the graphics on this game are fantastic and the game runs seemlessly! How demanding this game is on the processor I dont know?

I also like to play Football Manager and was concerned about the screen size due to all the text boxes etc! Again not a problem!

I said this would be short but please be assured, these machines are brilliant and are well worth the wait!

Nice to hear Chaboy that you're enjoying the laptop.

Mine was relevatly quick to get compared to alot even though that was my biggest issue, mine runs swimmingly all game i wanted run smoothly beautiful just need to connect to external monitor when i can cause 15inch is too small for me :)

I ordered my Vortex III on January 8th. It was in Processing until the 15th then it was in Pre-Production until yesterday. Since yesterday it has gone all the way from Pre-Production, through Building, Testing and Quality Control to Waiting For Despatch today. I hope this doesn't mean that, because they've been so busy, they've cut corners in the building, testing and quality control to get the laptop out ASAP and I'm going to receive it full of problems :)

PCS won't skip any of the build stages or cut corners,it would after all be very much against their own interests,I would think the last thing they want is a computer being returned for repair.

As Vanthus says, that's nothing to worry about. My own build cascaded from Building to Awaiting Dispatch in one working day and it is giving complete satisfaction :)

For me i ordered my vortex 3 elite on Friday 1st of Feb at 11.30am. By 5pm the same day i got email saying it was built.
Saturday and Sunday are not working days. Then today Monday 4th Feb at 14.00 i got another email saying its now gone to testing and configuration. After that it goes to quality control....im presuming tomorrow !! Then for dispatch.
I did purchase the 3 day fast dispatch though.....So im hoping to recieve my new laptop either Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. I will be very happy with that.......if it takes longer, i wont be happy, as ive paid an extra £69 for the service. If i dont get it by then, i wonder if PCS will refund the £69???

From the website:
If we do not meet the 3 day dispatch deadline your fast track service will automatically roll over to a 5 day service and the difference will be refunded. If we do not meet the 5 day dispatch deadline your fast track surcharge will be refunded.

Heh, small world. I've just ordered a computer from PCS too, and I'm just the other end of the Acle Straight in South Walsham.

Hey target practice.......Yea small world it is.

***UPDATE*** Well after my last post (2 posts ago) In the space of 90 mins its gone from "Testing and configuration" to awaiting dispatch!!!........I hope they have not skipped the Quality control part :-O
Anyway, sounds like i could get my hands on it within the next 2 days ....Happy days :-D

Mine arrived today and all seems to be working well except the function key is not working with the hotkeys for things like turning the keyboard illumination on/off, turning number pad on/off, bluetooth on/off etc. Anyone know how to fix this?

When I made my comment about PCS cutting corners I was joking, although the building, testing and quality control did seem to happen a lot quicker than it says it usually takes on their flow chart :) .

I know PCS is a great company, I bought my desktop from them 3 years ago, it's still going strong and I've never had a problem with it.

I am yet to establish if indeed the company can live up to the billing of a "great company" when I receive my PC, and put it in rigorous quality assessment. So far, I remain unimpressed. I'm on the 11th working day in building mode. I'm clueless why my order has taken that long. And the company hasn't got the slightest courtesy to reach out to me to explain the delay. I last received a response from the company stating it is awaiting my specified sound card (which had ran-out) on 28 January 2013. Since 30/31 January the ran-out sound card no longer appears on my "order note", indicating it has been sourced.

Hi there bberlin......I may be wrong, but, Maybe the people who purchase the fast dispatch option take priority over all other customers. So if they all of a sudden get lots of orders using fast dispatch, they obviously have to work on those systems before the others. And my guess is thats why certain customers have had a longer wait.
Maybe PCS could enlighten us on this matter.
All the best
