I was reading that the Ti might be releasing at the same time, announcing on Monday. That would really throw the cat among the pigeons. I wasn't sure if the sources were reliable though as it was all rumour (Although from 3 independent sources apparently).

Rumours I've seen were 2080 on 31 Aug, 2070 on 30 Sept, 2060 on 31 Oct. Preorders are expected to open for the 2080 on 20th Aug.

I am rubbish with PCs, but my PhD was in optical display Physics and my first post-doc was using ANNs to classify. I still only understand a little over half of what he's saying but its enough to make me want to buy 2 - one for my PC and one for my pillow so I can cuddle it while I sleep.

So presumably we will be seeing lower priced AIB models, perhaps even moreso than we did with Pascal.

He says the 2070 is more performance than the Titan xP (implied as raw performance, not just raytracing). This would be consistent with the last two -70s unseating the former -80 tis.

I gotta say, the prices are promising if the performance quoted is accurate.

Did you guys see the battlefield demo? Just insane, really impressive.

I kinda thought I’d do with the 1080 for a couple more years, but I gotsta have one o dese! I’m thinking the 2080 for power vs performance.

So much happened I forgot about the tomb raider and metro, two of my favourite series.

A 2070 or 2080 (depending on performance and actual UK prices) paired with a 4k gsync monitor looks like it will be in the fairly near future for me - going up from a 970 and my trust 1080p IPS monitor from 2012.
