Seems to be a very common problem this "card left no one home" thing. I'm not sure it happens with regularity with the other companies, perhaps it does, but looking at the Yodel online reviews, it seems extremely frequent. That's exactly what happened with my order too, and I ended up having to take three days off work. Not sure why it happens, it would be great to have someone who actually works as a delivery driver to comment on here. Perhaps it's because the driver runs out of time and has too many parcels to deliver. I did read somewhere that they've laid off loads of staff, so perhaps the drivers are just overworked and rather than say they didn't have time, and get it in the neck by their managers, they'd rather just say they attempted delivery and left a card. From the customers point of view the latter is obviously much worse though and highly inconvenient, even if the driver is trying to save their own skin.

This is not uncommon. Yodel are a bad company and we've heard this same story over and over. These are blatant lies which no company should stoup to. Vote Yodel out on PCS courier poll.

The problem with this is, and I'm sure it's been said before, is that it's likely a high majority of people have had successful deliveries from PCS, so people will probably vote to keep the status quo. However I do think a company shouldn't be judged so much on how well it does the job it's supposed to do - ie deliver parcels, but rather how well they deal with issues when they arise. I have to say that I have never dealt with a company so incompetent or so willing to lie than I have with Yodel. It's this aspect that gets me the most. If they couldn't deliver at the time they said, that's ok to an extent, but their desire or ability to fix the problem once they've made a mistake seems non-existent. Only through the efforts of PCS was I able to get my PC, presumably because Yodel are going to listen to the company paying them money, rather than the customer, whom they would seem to treat with utter contempt.

Regarding couriers; i have always received good service from DPD, but i have no reason to complain about Yodels' service so far. They have always met their delivery time frames.

More lies. This morning there was a new entry like : Delivery tried at 9am (I'm working at home since 8am), and of course that is not true either. Phoned them, they said they did come. Again no one came, no card. And delivery for tomorrow. And what is even better, they said I should have phoned yesterday (I did twice) but they didn't have a record of my calls. (even there is a message of "call being recorded" when you phone them)

Unbelievable.

I'm thinking there is not much point into ordering the fast track if then the delivery kind of ruins it for you

I have not read any of your other posts, but from the words "More lies" I'm assuming there is ongoing delivery. I'd suggest a phone call to pcs.

Yes I will call them tomorrow if this is still going on.

And about couriers, I also like DPD. About Yodel, I only had 2 experiences, both really terrible. Wouldn't use them again if I could choose.

I've had two deliveries from pcs, with yodel both arrived on the day, waiting on yodel again today with a replacement ssd.
I like DPD, got a parcel of amazon with them yesterday (paid for 7 ish quid for it) and I was emailed a time that it would arrive, and it did arrive at that time, yodel should do something like this.

If there is a problem with delivery, why don't you just go to the local depot and pick it up yourself? x_X ... It's free delivery, it's not like you've paid them to come with it, PCS did. As for fast track, it fast tracks inside the PCS warehouse, it's still 7+ working days quicker whether the delivery messes up or not. It's not like they're less likely to mess up depending on how fast PCS put your PC together.

I don't have a car, how am I supposed to go pick up a giant heavy box? :)
PLUS, I didn't want the free "Next day" delivery, wanted to pay for special delivery, but being in Edinburgh the only option is free delivery, so if I didn't pay extra for delivery is just because I didn't have the option!

Regardless if a customer paid extra for delivery the parcel/package should arrive when its supposed to.

:S I hope we get it today... would be really bad to have to wait until Monday!

Me too!

I'm really fed up with yodel, I don't understand how they cant deliver on the day they are paid too. Every single courier I have used in the past, has always delivered when they should do. I cant even find where the package is as I don't have any tracking information, so I cant even pick up myself.

I have recently been very positive about yodel, but only in the last few days has that opinion completely changed.

PCS have amazing customer service, I know from my experience they are an amazing company, however, Yodel are a massive let down to them.

Well the moment they start lying on the phone, and creating false "delivery attempted, no one there" entries in the track page, is when you know they have not a clue.

I talked with PCS today and they said Yodel knew this was urgent and that they would deliver today for sure. But that's what they said on Wednesday so I'm not feeling very positive about getting it today really :(

I can understand your frustration but the reason there is no tracking info was explained in your other thread. The fact you are getting fed up after one failed delivery to me kinda contravenes everything you've said in the past. Im not sayign people shoulnd;t get worked up but fair enough ive youve been waiting several days for a delivery, thing is you haven't youve been waiting since yesterday and its not even halfway through today yet.
