Well it's been 10 days since I ordered a custom built gaming PC. I have to say I'm very pleased with the results. The PC itself is so amazingly good that I'm fairly certain I'd be able to use it to capture Superman in a giant bubble.
But on a more serious note, I have to say the customisation options are brilliant. When you try to place an order that has conflicting issues, the website lets you know that it won't work, and points you in the right direction. This includes even the small things like monitor cables and the power pack size being too big/small. So if you're not sure about something, it'll let you know if you're asking for the impossible.
The updates were also a nice touch, email reminders letting you know which stage in production your system is in. And when it came to the delivery, there was a nice option to text/email a date change if the delivery day was inconvinient and the computer itself was boxed up very securely. To the point where it felt like a personal fight between me and the packaging. I could've thrown the box down a flight of stairs and known the contents would've been fine.
All in all, as a first time user of pcspecialist, I have to say that I'm a very happy one and I will definately be using pcspecialist again. |

I had a problem with my laptiop on Tuesday 7th February when I had done some updates and as a result of what I had done Windows would not start. I contacted PC Specialist's support desk and spoke to Jack who not only extremely helpful and resolved my problem much to my relief otherwise I would have had to reinput about two months work, but was extremely professional in his approach. I couldn't have wished for or expected any more assistance than I received.

I wanted to buy my son a laptop for his 18th birthday that would serve his gaming requirements and his imminent departure to university.
Neither of us knew precisely what was the optimum specification for our budget and the wealth of information on the net didn't really help.
The brilliance of the pcspecialist approach is that you can build your own pc specification and then publish it on their forum. Within hours, I had lots of really useful suggestions which led to a modified specification which I again published. After a few further tweaks, I ordered my laptop reassured that it was a lot closer to what I needed at a good price.
The wait for the laptop was greatly helped by the updates as to which stage it had reached and who was dealing with my order.
The final despatch was very smooth with the courier delivering the laptop exactly on time.
The install instructions were very good and a week in, I have no problems at all to report.
All in all, a very good customer experience and I would thoroughly recommend pcspecialist to anyone in a similar situation. |

I received my LT two weeks ago now. It arrived exactly on time & well packed with no damage. I fired it up & authorised the W7 Professional OS & then my internet account, all sweet without snags. My main reason for the new LT, my 4 year old Samsung was showing signs of dying. I use an LT to show my AV work away from base , which is very infrequently, so it won't get much use. This week I bought a new projector, an Optoma HD600X-LV which was at a good price, & yesterday coupled the new LT & Projector via an HDMI cable & tested it with one of my AV shows & a commercial DVD. The only niggling item was with the projectors external sound connection, I couldn't control the volume with the projectors remote. Other than that all works fine.

May I first of all start by saying that I do not usually write reviews or testimonials but the service that you experience when you buy a laptop from PCS is second to none and I feel they warrant a good review.
I ordered my laptop on a Friday and by the next Friday it was delivered without using the fast track option. It was a joy as PCS keep you updated the whole process. You get an email when the status of your order has changed and a text the morning of your delivery which estimates when it will be with you within an hour time slot and they were bang on time.
I have always been skeptical about buying a PC from internet sites but I found this one perfect.
Great job PCS I will now look no where else when I need a PC and I will be recomending you! |

I wasn't planning on upgrading my system this year, but when the graphics card went on my laptop I thought I would treat myself (ok I was look for an excuse to buy a new computer).
I had a look online at various sites and decided on PCS as I really liked the build page and the price of my chosen spec was the best I could find.
Another plus was being able to amend my order after I had placed it. As after speaking to few mates about what I had chosen I got the usual "oh you should of gone for ......"
The service from PCS is excellent. Being able to view your order progress online as well as receiving emails on the build progress.
The final nice touch was when the package arrived. At first I thought "What ever have I ordered!" as the parcel was huge! But when unpacking it was extra padding all around the desktop to make sure there was no chance of the PC being damaged in transit.
I will be recommending PCS to anyone I know who is looking to get a new PC.

I've have had my new pc for just 10 days and it's been simplicity itself to get it up and running.
This is my first experience of PCS and I cannot fault any part of their service. Best online shopping experience ever, Tech guys very helpful and i was kept well informed all the way to the door. My top spec system had me rushing out to buy matching key board and mouse . Should have ordered the lot from pc specialist, it would not have cost any more and i could have been up and running sooner. Even with a few spec changes on my part and taking in the new year hols the whole process only took @ 18 days..Worth wating for i can assure you all out there.

In October my HP died (for the umpteenth time) and as I was unable to find a replacement socket 754 motherboard on eBay, I finally decided that I needed something a bit more up-to-date. Via my "trade union", http://www.pcg.org.uk, I was directed to PC Specialist.
The old PC had been using an AMD and being slightly cost-conscious, and not a gamer, I decided to stick with AMD, in casu, and despite the mixed reviews, an 8-core FX-8150. As I am planning to use the PC to run z/OS, RAM was paramount, and I selected 16Gb (too bad that they didn't offer a 32Gb option...) and given that I rarely switch of my PC(s), I chose a motherboard that is supposed to live lone (and has a 5-year warranty), an ASUS® SABERTOOTH 990FX.
Disk? No SSD's for me, they may be faster, but I think they are still way too expensive, so I just selected two 2TB Caviar Blacks and for good measure I added two DVD drives.
Graphics? The bare minimum, an NVidia GT520, z/OS is text based, and as I mentioned before, I'm not interested in games. When I finally got to the end of the ordering process, a glitch occurred, Belgium was missing from the delivery options (I'm told this has now been changed) so I choose Ireland, and gave them a ring - shipping to Belgium would cost the same. So I ordered the PC (this was near the end of November) with a delivery set to early January (we were away for most of December).
At this stage gremlins took over, possibly because this was one of the first times they tried to ship a PC to Belgium, and it ended up in Ireland... I eventually got it a week later, they put in an extra wireless mouse to make up for their mistake, and having now used the PC for two weeks, I am a very happy bunny.
The PC is fast (W7 is not ideal if you're used to XP, but I've already installed M$ Virtual PC *and* Oracle's VirtualBox, the latter is better) and all I can say is that I'm a very happy bunny, the PC was well worth the somewhat longer than expected wait, and I hope PC Specialist will still be around when this PC will finally replacing in hopefully a quite far future, like my father who on occasion still uses his 1983 4.77 MHz original IBM PC, I'm not really a "latest and greatest" person, and given the quality product PC Specialist have delivered, the far future may well be 2020. ;) |

great site had to wait 9 days before my desktop went into production on the 23rd and got it on the 26th, will buy from here again but having a problem with my wifi but I think that's to do with how far I'm away from from box. |
