Was built yesterday and has been in testing since yesterday evening hopeful it will come by tomorrow or monday at latest. Synthet1k you are in a different que system to me if you are ordering a tower PC but you will properly be near top of list judging by my experience if its not built and with you by 22nd I would be shocked and if thats case then definitly ring them up and hassle them if its not entered building towards end of play wednesday

I would've expected it waaaaaay before the 22nd as it's currently in building (Seems it was fully built yesterday, now waiting for it to hit testing and QC) as of this afternoon, thanks for the information all the same.

EDIT: Just been placed into testing as of 11:25am today give or take, seems to be moving through the process semi quick now. I'm praying and hoping for a Monday delivery if not tomorrow, I'll keep you all updated.

Hi Guys,

I am a bit confused. I ordered a 15 inch Defiance II last week.
The standard build time was 6-8 days in the dropdown, so I did not order a fast track service.
I wired the money and my order entered the "Processing" status on the 14th ( last Thursday ).
I received a ( seemingly automated ) email today from PcSpecialist that the estimated date when my order will enter the build stage is the 8th of February.
This means, according to their build process, quality testing etc, that I am lucky if they dispatch the laptop before the 12th of February.
This is in no way 6-8 days. It is almost a month. Even more with the shipping time ( i ordered from outside of the UK ).
I hope that this is just a mistake, or bug in their system according to earlier posts in this thread.
Also just out of curiosity I put together the same Defiance II today and it costs almost 50 EUR less now.

On the bright side, communication was not bad from PcSpecialist until now. I almost always received an answer from them in 24 hours in email, chatted with them multiple times on the website, and also called them on the phone without problems. I also received a non-automated email from them which confirms that the money arrived, and that they will update me further before the end of next week.

I will write an email to them with the above concerns today to clarify this issue.

Of course it's a mistake hence the reason this topic was made by an Admin. The estimated email dates are all out of sync so I would ignore them altogether for the most part. That said they do seem quite busy, I ordered my custom PC on the 1st and it got built and went into testing on Friday for delivery next week.

@syntheti1k Thanks for Your answer. Thats what I thought too, but sent them an email just in case. Make no mistake, I still highly respect the team at PcSpecialist, and trust them completely. But I think that if the automated e-mails are so out of sync, then they should be turned off. Think it would be more than enough to send out mails when the status changes until the auto estimated dates are fixed to avoid confusion and unnecessary e-mails to the support, which delay response times.

Just in case this helps here's how it's went for me so far:

Processed Date: 01-01-2016
Pre-Production Date: 05-01-2016
Build Date: 14-01-2016
Test Date: 15-01-2016

Going by what other members have posted QC and dispatch seem to happen on the same day so I'm hopeful it'll be dispatched Monday for a Tuesday delivery.

I'm normally an impatient sod but it takes what it takes to get a custom machine! I ordered last Tuesday and it stated 6-8 working days but the emails say it will be built 5th February. I'm hoping it will be here by 26th of this month.

From what I've read very few if any at all take more than 14 working days start to finish.

Nice spec, hope its sorted soon, although at this rate you can get on the Oculus Rift Pre-orders and get a Rift at the same time :D

Haha, yeah. I can't complain too much however I do wish they'd just tell everyone 2 weeks standard that way they wouldn't hear a peep from 99% of members regarding their builds. I'll take pictures and post a review when the time comes.

EDIT: As of today (18th) STILL in Testing since the 15th.

Yeah I'm hoping mine goes into QC today or at the very latest tomorrow. Been in testing since Saturday which seems a bit excessive although I do appreciate these things need testing. Just fed up with the wait, 3 days to test assuming it doesn't go into QC today seems a bit much unless there's issues but there's been no notes added to the order as of yet.

Hopefully so, the emails are gettting worse, now 8th February. :sweatdrop:

Today is the 6th working day and still in pre-production. Hopefully it enters building shortly!

Just ignore those. The turnaround for most it would seem is a max of 14 days (He says with his fingers crossed every which way). That said the turnaround percentage for 14 days has dropped quite a bit to 57.25% from around 80% or so. If it doesn't change to QC for me today a phone call will be in order. Don't anyone bother with email, takes em two days usually to reply unless you're extremely lucky.

Do also remember that once it reaches building it is generally only a day or two til it gets dispatched (unless there are problems in testing/QC) - pre-production is by far the longest section of the time.

Thanks. I think I might just stop the daily checks, it will arrive when it arrives! I carted my beast around this long, I can wait a little longer for an ultrabook.

They advise checking daily just in case there's any notes added to your order that you need to act on when you click the "Show" button although you get an automatically generated email when a note gets added or the status has changed I'm sure.
