Was that something you added when you edited your post half an hour after you'd said it? ;)

It was added to that one as i missed it off that one, but look at my previous post and it's there with no edits.

Haha I will let you off then, but I will refer you to the thread title of "How fast is your internet according to Speed Test?" and not "How slow can you go?" :stuart:

The "your" part was for the main thread, but the tangent that was formed when people started competing turned the thread into "what location has the worst connection", it has now becoma an all ndew htread and there was no rules defined as to whuch country it had to be and who was the "owner" of the result

Hmn, you're in Norfolk but it's pinging Milton Keynes as your recommended ping server. Somethings not quite right with your speedtest settings.

Well Speedtest thinks we're in Wisbech in Cambrideshire and refuses to refine my location any further - Also according to Speedtest Nottingham (Or at least a part of it.) is in North Norfolk so I guess it walks to the beat of it's own drum. I don't think it makes much difference though; I have still crappy broadband *sigh*.

Finally got some wireless speeds to match my wired. In fact my wired has never gone above 125Mb so this wireless speed is actually the fastest I've ever had.

Had to get a new adapter to do it though. Laptop users should definitely forget the N135 and get either a killer or the N6300 card. This is what I just got with my N6300 wireless adapter:

How is 126.02mb/s faster than 94% of the GB but 126.88mb/s is only faster than 93% of GB?

God knows. Maybe it carries out a calculation combining download, upload and ping? Either way... rather arbitrary

I'm guessing it's done on their results they've obtained from many people running the test and in the 8 minute difference between the two tests a bunch of people with high speed did tests and so this changed all the stats ever so slightly and the percentage it worked out for you changed by a small amount which meant the percentage value for you was rounded down instead of up.

To all of the Virgin Media customers boasting those 100+mb speeds:

How long can you download at those reported speeds before you hit your traffic management limit in peak usage times (16:00 to 22:00)

Just curious.
