Hello all,
The main reason for this build is for VR. Budget is ~£2000. I'd really like to try and get in a 3080 within this budget although I'm sure you'll all keep me right if that's achievable!
All comments and questions welcome :)

What would be a good setup for this game for a low, medium and high budget and what the pros and cons would be for each?
I'm looking to get a desktop PC with a Valve Index but not sure what would be the best set-up, hence the vagueness. Hopefully someone can help?
Thanks!
Hi all,
Just wondering if a budget of £2K could get a VR PC that delivers 4k gaming with decent FPS, also including a 4k monitor, mouse, keyboard and an Oculus headset and controllers? Would prefer going the Nvidia route rather than AMD.
I understand this may be a tall ask and might not be...
Hi,
Looking to game in VR and trying to keep the costs down as much as possible, is a rig kitted out with a GTX 1080 for under £1000 too much to ask? If so, what would be the cheapest build to get without any bottlenecks?
Cheers!
Recently been paying about with the Oculus Rift DK2 (not mine, unfortunately) on a Macbook Pro. Now that I've seen the future, it's made me realise that I'll need some beefy hardware to run the consumer version. What do you think on the below? Budget to come in under 2 grand, inc. monitor...
Hi all,
Ordered myself a macbook pro and was wondering if the graphics card is any good for gaming? Usually play games like Farcry, Fallout, Skyrim and indie stuff. Also, can you get mods on mac's?
Thanks!
Hi all,
What's your thoughts on the below spec? Budget around max £1300. Intended use is couch gaming, therefore as quiet as possible without scrimping on graphics and performance.
Thanks in advance.

I'm curious as to what the mods and spec helpers on these forums would choose, money no object, as their perfect PCS rig, including intended use, components, monitor(s) and peripherals.
All comments welcome.
Just a general question really, is it worth going for a 4K setup for the cost?
I've been checking out these forums for a while now biding my time before entering the PC market and the 4K thing has got me interested. And now it seems to becoming slightly more affordable, do you think it'd be...
Hi all,
Hopefully you'll be able to help.. Cracked my laptop screen (HP Pavilion dm4 - the beats one) and was wondering if anyone knows how to change one out by themselves? Or would it require to be sent back to HP?
Anyone had a similar problem!?
Cheers,

Hoping I'm close to my final build now. Nothing too fancy, just trying to get good bang for buck without compromising performance and a view of going SLI in the future. Couple of things I'm unsure about is the mobo and CPU/GPU cooling options (ie. adequate for overclocking and okay for future...
Anyone know if there's a point to waiting or not?
I haven't got a pc yet but have built up a few different configs on this site with help from the Guru dudes, an have managed to now narrow it down to a decent enough spec.
But, if Valve release something awesome and I've already bought one...
Hi all,
Quick question. Anyone know which manufacturer PC Specialist use for their GTX range? Got my heart set on the 770 but after reading reviews, some companies have them slightly overclocked. Does it depend what they have in stock or is it standard Nvidia hardware they sell?
Thanks
Hi all,
I'm fairly close to buying my first high(ish) end gaming computer from this site and was wondering about playing it on a 40" LED HDTV.
What I'm trying to find out is if there a point where a high end GPU, like a GTX 770, wouldn't be best suited for TV, due to it being 60Hz and not...
Hello all,
I've made up a mini PC build that I'm hoping would be really, really good. As always though, if there are any better configurations that would optimise the system, please speak up. Will be used primarily for gaming on the highest possible settings but with a small footprint. I am...
Hi All,
I posted a few weeks ago and was helped out with a spec for a gaming pc. Going on recommendations and after reading other posts, I'm hoping this revised version will max out current games as well as keeping costs to a minimum. I think I've made it up to be easily upgradable if I need...
Guys/Girls,
I'm an Xbox-er getting into Pc gaming. I did a tonne of research on building my own but with the spec I was looking for I wasn't going to be saving that much - or from the prices I found anyway..
So here's my build I'm thinking about going for. Please post any recommendations you...
